"The Pau Hana Painters Collective: Fostering Collaborative Creativity and Community Connection."
Between 2021 and 2022, Amber Urias launched and led a dynamic collective of artists in Honolulu. They engaged their community through live painting sessions at iconic venues such as The Hawaii State Art Museum (Capitol Modern), exclusive events for SoFar Sounds HI, and gatherings at The Artists’ Lounge. This initiative aimed not only to showcase emerging talents but also to forge meaningful connections between artists and their local supporters. All proceeds from art sales and merchandise were dedicated entirely to the artists, fostering a vibrant and supportive creative ecosystem.
